Newsletter #9 - March 2001

Greetings to all you Dead But Dreaming fans! The band is glad to welcome many new people to the DBD Mailing List who signed up after one of several great recent shows by the band. Here's what's been going on lately...

Big thanks go out to those who attended the shows at the Lakepointe Bar & Grill on Friday 12/29/00 and Gibson's on Thursday 1/4/01, respectively. Both shows were high-energy events, with DBD in fine form. The band would like to thank Ashland and Counterfist for sharing the stage at Lakepointe, as well as The Abadux for sharing the stage at Gibson's. Dead But Dreaming looks forward to playing both venues again soon!

Now, to announce THREE new upcoming shows:

Dead But Dreaming will be appearing live at Planet Hotrod in Fife on Friday, March 23rd. The show starts at 9:30, and will feature a full length 45 minute set by the band. Not only will DBD be performing all the crowd favorites, but also the band will be debuting several new songs! "Centuries" and "Glorious Day" are ready to go, and "October Skies" is nearing completion. Planet Hotrod is located at 7403 Pacific Hwy E. in Fife. DIRECTIONS: From I-5, take the 348th St. Exit in Federal Way. Head west towards Federal Way. Turn left at Pacific Highway/99 (this is easy to confuse with Enchanted Parkway! Don't make that mistake!). Head south on 99 for several miles until you come to civilization again. You'll eventually see a dome shaped building on the left. Planet Hotrod is across the street from that on the right.

The band will also be appearing live at Club Broadway in Everett on Saturday, April 7th. The show starts at 9:30, and will feature a full length set by the band. Club Broadway is located at 1611 Everett Ave. (on the corner of Everett Ave. and Wetmore Ave). DIRECTIONS: From I-5 Northbound, take the Pacific Ave Exit, make a left onto Pacific. Follow Pacific Ave. into downtown Everett, make a right onto Colby. Follow Colby to Everett Ave. and make a right. Club Broadway will be on your left. From I-5 Southbound, take the Everett Ave. exit, make a right onto Everett Ave. Club Broadway will be on your right.

Lastly, Dead But Dreaming will be returning to The Lakepointe Bar and Grill in Bothell on Friday, April 20th (a special 4-20 celebration)! The show starts at 9:30, and will feature a full length set by the band. The Lakepointe is located at 18018 61st Ave NE. DIRECTIONS: From I-5 (North or Southbound), in North Seattle, take the 145th St exit. Head east on 145th till you get to Lake City Way. Make a left. Follow this as it slowly curves around the north end of Lake Washington, and when you reach the city of Kenmore you will see the Lakepointe Bar and Grill on your left, just a little ways off the road behind a Jack in the Box.

The band is looking forward to the three great shows, and hope to see you there! Bring a friend!

In only a couple short months, Dead But Dreaming will be going into the studio yet again. Continuing the tradition of producing a new recording each Spring, this will be the band's 3rd release, but it's first 5 song EP. It's too soon to give away what songs are going to be on it, but suffice it to say that the band is very excited and looking forward to both recording and releasing it!

The Dead But Dreaming website has undergone some major improvements since the last newsletter. The Photo Gallery is now chock full of great pics ranging from the studio session a year ago to the most recent gigs this year. Be sure to check out the new Fan Zone section, featuring our December contest winner, and articles composed by the band members. Stay tuned for interactive features in the Fan Zone, such as Q&A, polls, and more! That's it for now from Dead But Dreaming! Remember to mark your calendars for the shows on March 23rd, April 7th, and April 20th!
